Design Process
Cancellations & Return Policy
Because all of our invitations are custom made, Toast Invitations does not accept returns or exchanges. In your contract we will set a production start date and completion week. If you cancel the order prior to any production and/or purchases on your account, we are happy to return the 50% deposit. If you cancel your order with us post-production, we retain the 50% deposit. If you cancel the order at or after the completion week, we retain the full amount of the contract.
In the event that there is a postponement or cancellation of the event, Toast Invitations will reschedule your invitations. Additional printing and/or handling fees may apply.
Preparation
We are meticulous in the detail of our invitations, and we strive to make sure our products go above and beyond your expectations. With that in mind, there are a few things you should think about to prepare yourself for our meeting:
1.THEMES: Do you have a theme for your event? Is there a storyline that the event is based upon?
2.COLORS: What are the colors you are using for the event? Are there specific colors you’d like us to use in your invitations? Do you want the invitations to match any particular detail?
3.CONTENT: Do you need RSVP cards? If this is for a fundraiser, do you need a separate page with information detailing the charity? Do you need tickets made up? Do you plan on adding something personal into the invitation?
4.WORDING: Event date, time, host/sponsors, location/address, RSVP info, dress code, website (if applicable)
5.How many invitations are you going to need?
6.Do you have a budget range with which you plan to work?
The design process begins with an initial consultation. This can be done by phone, email or in person. We require a $100.00 non-refundable fee should you decide you’d like to move forward and have a sample created. This fee may be applied toward your order. You will have the opportunity to edit/change your design 2 times. Any additional changes will require a $50.00 sample fee. After the initial consultation and sample design, we will present you with a quote.

Proposal
Once we have provided you with a sample, and you are happy with the design, we will send you a contract listing all of the items ordered, as well as a breakdown of the materials, colors, printing, expected delivery date, pricing, and any other relevant details to your order. Once you have approved the contract and made any necessary changes, we require you sign off on the project and return the documents back to us with a 50% deposit. The remaining balance is due prior to mailing out the completed invitations. We will contact you before your project is completed to set the final payment date. We accept checks and money orders, made out to Toast Invitations.
Timeline
The invitation process varies based on the complexity of the invitation, number of invitations needed, printing, and labeling. After your initial consultation, you should receive a sample anywhere from 2 weeks; once you place an order, invitations can take anywhere from 4 weeks to 4 months.
Pricing - FAQS
How will the invites arrive?
There are two ways for you to receive your invitations:
1.Your invitations will be mailed to you in a box, no labels, no stamps.
2.We will mail out your invitations for you, from our local post office.
Can I put additional items in the envelopes/boxes prior to mailing?
You are welcome to put any personal items or additional printed information in your invitations. This must be discussed during the initial consultation, as our designs are unique in every way, and must be able to accommodate accompanying objects.
Do you provide mailing labels?
We can create mailing labels for your invitations if provided with a comprehensive mailing list from you. We also have calligraphers if you should require a hand-written label.
How long is the invitation process?
The invitation process varies based on the complexity of the invitation, number of invitations needed, printing, and labeling. After your initial consultation, you should receive a sample in about 2 weeks; once you place an order, invitations can take anywhere from 4 weeks to 4 months.
Can I have my order rushed?
We can definitely do a rush order, for an additional fee. From time to time we are limited by the materials used, as some products are shipped from different parts of the world. Please let us know during the initial conversation if you need your order rushed, this way we can make sure we create an invitation with easily accessible components.
Pricing:
Each of our invitations is individually created from an idea or storyline, and therefore is unique in pricing. The cost of an invitation is based on materials used, intricacy and sophistication of the design, and style of printing.
Many times the amount of paper used can add onto the price. For instance, do you need RSVP cards made for mailing, or is it an email RSVP? Adding in a single piece of paper and envelope can add on to the overall price of the invitation.
The average cost per invitation runs from $20.00 - $40.00, however, prices vary depending on the complexity and materials used in each one.
Consultation:
We will begin the design process with an initial consultation, via phone, email or in person. We require a $100.00 non-refundable fee should you decide youd like to move forward and have a sample created. This fee may be applied toward your order. After the initial consultation and sample design, we will present you with a quote.
Is there a minimum amount of invitations?
We require a purchase of at least 25 invitations. Our staff is experienced in handing the most intimate of orders (25 pieces) to large, blow-out events (600 1,000 invitations).
Do you provide wording or layout design?
We are happy to assist you with the wording and layout of your invitation. We have talented copy writers and graphic designers on staff to handle any type of request. Just be prepared to provide us with all of the details of the event, along with any additional wording that you wish included in the invitation.

About Me
Art has been my passion ever since the day I was able to hold a crayon. At the University of Maryland, I majored in Studio Art where I refined my skills in sculpture, painting, and drawing. After college, I applied my love of art to the makeup and fashion industries as a makeup artist for everything from fashion photo shoots to in-store promotions and brand launches. With a stroke of luck, I fell into event planning and design for night clubs and restaurants throughout New York City. With full responsibility for the success of each event, I poured my heart and soul into every detail, including the invitations which I designed and created by hand. The reactions to these invitations were overwhelming and soon I had a roster of friends and corporate clients luring me to create invitations for their special occasions and events. And thats how Toast Invitations was born.
My number one priority is creating invitations that are unique, and with every detail executed to perfection. The goal is that every recipient of a Toast Invitation feels an element of surprise and delight upon opening their hand-made invite. Special is the word I use to describe my final products. And with so many repeat clients, I think they agree!
